someday i'll sober up lyrics

Everybody sure is busy puttin' me down they whisper bout me drinkin' all the time
And talk is spreadin' fast that I'm the drunk of the town
But they don't understand this heart of mine
Someday I'll sober up just wait and see
When things were back the way they oughta be
Someday I'll sober up just wait and see the day my baby comes back home to me
[ piano - steel ]
I wasn't always on the bottle then baby left and now I got no one to call my own
If anybody thinks I'm funny go on and laugh it don't matter none since baby's gone
Someday I'll sober up...
